It seems like Elfman tackled the drama and The Newton Bros got all the mood/horror stuff.
It’s a really odd combination if nothing else. Very small score. Lots of piano, those rhythmic figures he loves so much these days and some very Elfman-like choir. For the cues that are seemingly Elfman’s at least.
The Newton Bros stuff is very harsh and electronic.
The track listing I found online doesn’t distinguish between what’s Danny and what’s The Newton Brothers.

The Newton Bros said Elfman wrote a 12 minute track ages ago but that doesn’t seem to correlate with the album that’s already online.

Some of the music I thought was Elfman was evidently The Newton Bros. Fair play, some of it is really quite nice.

Elfman’s contributions to this are really beautiful; they’re very sad and melodramatic with a hint of fantasy. You’ll all be fans I think.
Thanks for the heads up. Just ordered my copy. $35 Canadian w/ shipping. Ouch. That’s more than $2 per minute of Elfman music!
I just ordered my copy from the Varese Sarabande site, total of about $18.00 with shipping,not too bad, too bad it’s only three tracks.
I think it took longer for me to remove the packaging than it did to ship to Ireland. There’s nothing relating to Elfman nor his team (apart from a thank you) in the booklet.
Lovely music. What a great week for Elfman fans.
Got my CD today — man, I wish Danny had scored the whole film. This is fantastic!
I’ve got three new Elfman discs on my desk for the first time in how long? It’s a good time!
Are we sure Elfman only did those three tracks on the soundtrack (“Sean”, “Christmas” and “Defeated”)?
