GuestFor those who might be interested, I bought the Black Beauty DVD from Wal-mart for a whopping $5.88. As I don’t have DVD yet, and need to go to my mom’s to watch it, I don’t know what’s on it. Has anyone seen it yet?

GuestWell, I bought it for my ex-girlfriend a long time back, and from what I remember, the movie was on it.

GuestIt’s a featureless disc, as far as I know. I don’t even think it’s in widescreen!

GuestSo, along with being a “sad bastard” movie, it’s a “sad bastard, featureless” movie! Well, crank up The Cranberries, baby! You’re in for the long haul…

GuestOh well, I guess I have to watch the movie. I hope it’s not as bad as it sounds!

GuestIt’s not bad, if you’re a fan of horse movies.

GuestI used the phrase “sad bastard movie” with the best of intentions. Black Beauty happens to be one of my favorite movies; I find it to be quite a well-done sentimental film.
The phrase “sad bastard” actually comes courtesy of “High Fidelity – ” one of the best films I’ve seen in the last 2 months. It’s great for laughs, and rakes the concept of “dating” and more serious romantic relationships over the coals
