GuestI’ve only seen a few Oingo Boingo music videos, but in my opinion they really sucked. I mean, I love the songs, but those videos are really awful.

GuestAs I understand, the “Little Girls” video was directed by Richard Elfman, but I might be wrong. I didn’t care for that video and that isn’t one of my favorite Boingo songs.
I’ve also heard the Pearl Jam’s “Jeremy” video was directed by David Fincher. But I’m also not sure about that.

GuestFincher directed George Michael’s “Freedom” too…

GuestI kinda agree with BartNfink93’s view that the videos were nothin to crow about. Considering that they started off as more of a theatrical group, I figured their videos would be more lavish. Just Another Day and Dead Man’s Party have no thought behind them besides “let’s have Danny make weird faces for the camera.” I will say, however, that they grow on you after watching them so many times. I think the videos were lame and low-budget looking cus it was, after all, still the beginning of MTV. Also I think their record company still had no freakin clue what to do with them, how to market them, or how to make an 8-piece band mainstream…especially with songs like “Little Girls.” heehee
I think it comes down to “It’s so bad it’s good” with their videos. On another note, I will find it fascinating that I bought a kareoke version of Little Girls that is very faithful to the original. It is so hilarious! I sang it start to finish at the top of my lungs driving around with my friend the day I got it. Priceless. Just priceless.
Jo the singing Elfgirl
p.s. according to someone on a yahoo board, there’s a picture of the happy couple and a short blurb on the upcoming wedding in US Weekly.

GuestBoingo’s videos: the worst, imo, is “Stay.” It’s like the director threatened Danny with a red-hot poker in order to get him to “dance.” (And yes, the term “dance” is subjective…) Simply put, the guy looks awful trying to do…whatever he thinks is dancing…and the hand movements really DON’T coincide with the leg movements…which I think was SUPPOSED to happen…at least in more of an organized fashion than in the video itself. Don’t get me wrong, Elfman’s improvised flailing on the “Farewell” video is comedy gold, but the “Stay” video just doesn’t cut it in my book. (Then again, I’m not exactly Ginger Rogers (sp?) myself, so I really have no room to critique dancing…)

GuestI’ve only seen Insanity and Little Girls, the two that are on the Farewell dvd….
(The best video, isn’t by Boingo, but it has Chrisopher Walken flamboyantly cavorting about! Tah-ha)!

GuestYou guys suck. The videos ruled. Maybe they are not as cool as yoru Backstreet Boys videos or whatever, but I loved Boingo Videos.
As for a list of videos, you are skipping “Running on a treadmill” and a few others. All of which I have on DVD.
