GuestMany of us seem to believe that any Brett Ratner movie has the chance of havign Danny Elfman compose the score. Ratner just signed on to direct “Breaking Vegas,” based on the novel “Bringing Down the House,” about 6 M.I.T. students who are trained in card counting and use it to make millions in Las Vegas casinos. Then there’s his other Sean Connery film, “Josiah’s Cannon,” and “Rush Hour 3,” and 2 other unnamed Columbia projects, then of course “After the Sunset.” Lots of opportunities for a new score.

GuestThere was just a documentary on those 6 M.I.T. Blackjack students on the Discovery Channel and it’s already been released on DVD – it was called “Breaking Vegas” as well, and it’s a very theatrical doc. I really liked it (great pacing for the subject at hand) and even thought about getting the DVD whenever I come across it.
