Looks as thought it’ll be right up Burton’s ally. He’s an excellent producer, especially if he’s working with a visionary director.

ParticipantUh Oh. It’s a sci fi war movie.

ParticipantI saw the original short work (about 10 min. long) at the BendFilm Festival this past September in Bend, Oregon. It is highly creative and made me think very much of Tim Burton. I’m guessing the director of “9” has seen some or all of Burton’s work.
I’m a little afraid of a feature length version for a few reasons:
Feature length re-treads of neat Short ideas usually result in lame final products.
In the short film “9”, no one speaks. It is all told through action, facial expression, music score… If they try to recreate that for a feature-length, that could be tedious. But if they give the characters dialogue, that will ruin the ambiance of the original.
I’m sure a feature-length version will have its own intriguing elements, but I would suggest finding a way to see the original short film first. If you like Burton, you’ll like “9”.
