I watched the Danny Elfman featurette on the DVD and they gave him a nice 7 or 8 minute feature focused on the songs. However, there’s nothing about the score. It’s a real shame, but the song featurette is very good anyway. It’s a pretty cool DVD overall, I’m watching all the features right now.
I like the part where Elfman sings into his mic in his studio. Surreal!
I’m going to put the featurette online as an mp4, playable on your video iPod!

No deleted scenes or outtakes, but be on the lookout for Easter Eggs on disc 2. I really think they could have ditched the “actvities” section on the features disc in favor of more making-of stuff. They covered a lot, but there’s still so much more! And I’m pretty bummed about no commentary.

Yeah, and they did’nt mention the score, but making of the songs is funny, what a funny guy is Danny !!!
To rkeaveney: Could you do the same with the Batman Forever featurette Scoring Forever: The Music of Batman Forever, and other 2 Elfmans featurette on B89 and BR put them online as an mp4?
Man, he really seems giddy. Good to see him in such a good mood… especially on the heels of working with Raimi under those circumstances. He probably had a renewed appreciation for Tim… if that’s possible.
Thank you for posting that! It really made my day. I accidentally bought the wrong version of the movie last night, so I was really eager to see the Elfman extras!
How in the hell did you change my subject title? Oh yeah, you’re the webmaster. Anyway he always seems enthusiastic when talking about his music, even on the Spider-Man 2 DVD (although he looked incredibly exhausted on that one), but on this movie he’s just ecstatic! Let’s all not forget that footage from the red carpet when he himself said that he “couldn’t care less” about Spider-Man 3, clearly they were killing his good mood by asking that…but still, we needed closure.
I will consider it — but I think you really should buy the DVDs anyways because the additional extras are well worth it — particularly the doc on BATMAN. Jack Nicholson had me howling!!
