GuestI really enjoyed the Original score songs on the Chicago soundtrack. Are there any additional scores or CD’s that have the same type of 1920’s music/jazz.

GuestDick Tracy Score (1990)- track 3: “Crime Spree”
Nightmare Before Christmas (1993)- track 13: “Oogie Boogie’s Song”
and a few tracks from Forbidden Zone (1980), that’s about it for ElfmanFebruary 5, 2003 at 3:04 am #44018Anonymous
GuestA great non-Elfman CD that is of the same type is:
James P. Johnson – Victory Stride
It contains his neglected orchestral music, including his “Charleston” (quoted by Elfman in the Suite track from Chicago).

GuestI should also add “The Mooche”, heard in THE ADDAMS FAMILY, by Duke Ellington and Irving Mills. Co-incidentally, the version heard in ADDAMS FAMILY was orchestrated by Steve Bartek.
