GuestHas anyone heard of this movie Cold Shelter?
It’s a Cold War thriller written by Paul Schrader. Tim Burton is listed as one of the producers, along with Robert DeNiro, Wolfgang Peterson, and Ridley Scott.
This is everything I could find about it. A Cold War Elfman score would be interesting.

GuestWow – I don’t think I’ve ever heard of such a list of producers before. These people are really in the public eye, so they must all think this is something good to buy into it like this. They wouldn’t be too pleased to tarnish their resumé….
And yes, I’d love to hear an Elfman score put to a war scene – something I’m yet to see! To be honest, I doubt he’ll score this one – I reckon the only chance he’s got of getting onto this film is if Burton overpowers all the other producers (and as I don’t know who the director is, I’m not sure whethe they’d go for Elfman straight away). With that list of producers, it sounds to me like a job for Hans Zimmer, perhaps?

GuestI love war movies, especially recent special-effectsy ones like Pearl Harbor (please don’t hate me, I love Micael Bay movies). An Elfman war score would make us all cry, it would be so emotional. Look at Big Fish for example! but the J is right, I’ll bet Hans Zimmer does it.

GuestYeah, it was on the IMDB. But it sounds interesting anyways.
If Zimmer does score it (and if this movie even happens), I hope he doesn’t pull a Media Ventures thing with it and bring twenty other composers into the movie. Zimmer is a talented composer, but I think Carter Burwell would be a better choice for this kind of movie, after Elfman of course.
Also, from what I read it doesn’t really sound like a war movie (the Cold War wasn’t really a war). I was thinking more of an old-fashioned espionage thriller with European locales type thing. At least that’s what I was thinking. I really know nothing about this and, like Mr. Crabs (or Miss, or Mrs.) said, this information did come from the IMDB.
Spider-Fan, I’ve lost all respect for you.

GuestKnight (not DarkKnight), what did ya think of Titanic?

GuestTitanic? First time I saw it, it was ok. Second time it was kinda bland. Third time I wanted to blow my head off. It was a good idea to do for ONE movie but everyone dug it so much that both the music and the premise got overused.
It’s kinda like what this guy I know said: I don’t want to see it, I already know the ending. The boat sinks.
Knight (The main reason I don’t like that movie anymore is because there have been a ton of offshoots to that script’s idea, so it just got on my nerves. There is so many original ideas that you can do for a new film, why do they keep slamming out these crappy remakes and rip-offs???)
