GuestJust wondering if anyone knows how the Doc Ock theme will sound or if you know of a website that has the “music” on it? Just curious, i am having a hard time waiting for June 22nd for the soundtrack.

GuestNo info, but I’m anxious as heck. Sometimes, when I just can’t contain myself with anticipation, I try to “hear” what he could be doing with it. I need to stop, ’cause I know it will be something none of us will expect (but still incredibly awesome)!

GuestI can’t wait as well, it’s always immensely exciting when Elfman has a new CD coming out. He’s my favorite living composer/artist and at an average of 2-3 scores a year, it’s such a big, crazy deal for me when a new one is creeping up (and I’m sure I’m speaking for almost everybody here). Hopefully in several days, 30 second clips of the suites will surface…

GuestSpiderman will most certainly be a very good score, but I’m not looking forward to it as much as I look forward to his fully original scores. I mean, when Charlie and the Chocolate Factory comes along, I will be going insane with anticipation!

GuestDantz,
True, but that seems like such a long ways away that I try not to think about it too much
Spider-Man 2 is just around the corner (apparently, Elfman is going straight to work on Corpse Bride and Charlie after Spider-Man 2 wraps, and it already has apparently). He’s going to be a very busy guy, I wonder how many films he’ll have time to score in between Spider-Man 2 and Charlie&Corpse? The 2005 work he’s lined up for seem like particualrly enormous projects. Hopefully he’ll also have a fall 2004 project
I would really love to see Elfman score an indie or foreign film. With that said, I believe Corpse and Charlie will inspire some of his finest pages.Dylan

GuestThere’s just one thing i hope he doesn’t do in the SM2 score – put that crappy sounding general MIDI bongo sound in – there’s no alternation, or anything! It just sounds rubbish! …but that’s just me being ultra picky…

GuestI listened to the Doc Ock theme from the sample on the Spiderman 2 album and it looks like they mixed it with some of the Batman score and Spiderman score together. Looks like the Spiderman 2 albums are going to be a disappointment!
