GuestJust got addicted to this new british band, Dogs Die in Hot Cars… I find them a bit Boingo-esque. The lead singer voice has some similarities with Elfman’s and there’s something about their current single, “Godhopping” that sounds like early Boingo. Check it out in http://www.dogsdieinhotcars.com. Go to the media section and listen to “Godhopping” or, even better, see the really cool and very 80s video. Their album was produced by the legendary 80s producing duo Clive Langer and Alan Winstanley, the guys behind some of Dexy’s Midnight Runners and Madness best work.

GuestHey, not bad. Not bad at all! Good bands are hard to find these days. Good find!

By the way, I’ve always felt that “Ween” was sort of the Oingo Boingo of today. You should check them out, if you haven’t already, especially their albums “White Pepper” and “The Mullosk”.

GuestHaha . . . until I read your post I thought you were giving us a kind of public service announcement, reminding us not to leave our dogs in the car while we get our groceries

GuestNorthern Hemispherians: it’s summertime. Don’t leave your dogs in your cars when you go out places! They get hot and can die!

GuestWell, I checked them out a little bit more, and they’ve got OK songs overall. Some have the most attrocious lyrics I’ve ever heard! The production is good, though, so I guess it evens out somewhat.

GuestI couldn’t get the files to play either. When I tried to open or download them, I just got a “delivedmedia” file that didn’t play.
Oh well, thanks for sharing anyway.
