I say it’ll be a fusion between Pee-wee’s Big Adventure and The Nightmare Before Christmas. Skim through the script review at aintitcool, it could happen.
Pee-Wee’s Big Nightmare Before Fishmas?
I would expect it to be NOTHING like Nightmare or Pee Wee’s Big Adventure. Since it’s a story that takes place in the south and is about tall tales, I’d imagine that the score will be more low-key and folksy. No way to know until we hear though, you know?

Boy… it would be great if there were shades of an “O Brother Where Art Thou” style in there. But I don’t know the Big Fish story at all; might O Brother-type music make sense?
I also know very little about the story. But I imagine it will be something of a cross between A Simple Plan and Batman Returns.
I have a prediction: It’s going to be totally new, something diffferent than Danny has ever done, and it is going to blow you away.

Hey, you never know, but judging how everything has gone for the last 18 years, probably not. I am just saying that you might not be able to pin the score to any of Elfman’s other works. He might just shock you with something totally different
