BrodwayWorld.com reported today Matthew Bourne’s “Edward Scissorhands” ballet will go up Nov. 14-19 at Plymouth’s Theatre Royal in London with a chance for an extended run elsewhere if the show is a success. One bit of info on the work gave me pause:
“Terry Davies, with whom Bourne worked on The Car Man and Play Without Words, will adapt his music from the film score written by Danny Elfman.”
What the hell? Hasn’t Elfman been dropping this little project for years on his “to do” lists?
