GuestI think it would be interesting to see anything Danny creates. He’s a creative genius as far as I am concerned and I think he would be great at anything he sets his mind to. I would love to see him design his own theme park with him in full creative control. Forget Disneyland, how about Elfland! Instead of A bug’s Land, you get the Insects Attraction! Instead of Tom Sayer’s Island, you get The Island of Lost Souls, complete with a House of Pain and Manimals to creep out the guests. He could even give his big brother a little corner of the park and call it the Forbidden Zone. They could have a nightly parade with a little midget king leading the procession. Instead of Journey to the Center of The Earth, he could have Journey Through the Intesines that leads you into the Sixth Dimension. What do you think? Any other Ideas?

GuestI love that idea!
There could also be a Clowns of Death parade and a fetish gift shop called “Nasty Habits”! And maybe a theatre that shows all the really good Sci-Fi/Horror films like “The Day the Earth Stood Still” and “Psycho” (I wanted to suggest a Bates Motel attraction, but Universal Studios already has it). And of course they’d show the films Danny’s worked on.
Oh, and a Little Guns shooting gallery, with fake pistols the size of the plastic squirt guns you get from those crane games at carnivals. And a Cinderella Undercover ride ala Fantasy Land….no wait, a Castle!!! And a Weird Science magic shop!!!!!!
Kay, I think I’m done.

GuestI just had another idea. I was thinking a Day of The Dead Ride (or Dia De Los Muertos ride) would be really cool? I see it as a cross between the Haunted Mansion and Alice in Worderland. The ride could open up in a small Mexican village, very rustic and folk artsy. It could start out with the villagers preparing for a big party, decorating the streets with all sorts of colorful decorations. The next scene could be of a very dark graveyard showing all these well dressed skeletons (some even wearing top hats) climbing out of their graves. Somewhat, similar to the scene in Army of Darkness. Next scene could be of the dead making their way toward the village. Final scene would be a full blown, black light, glow in the dark, dead man’s party scene! Something very colorful and festive with dancing skeletons and flourescent painted mariachi zombies singing and playing their instruments. The ride vehicles could look like old early 1900’s hearses complete with caskets custom fit with seats. Oh, and of course, Dead Man’s Party playing in the Background. Mr. E

I like it. I was trying to think of a way to incorporate that song. It wouldn’t seem right without a DMP attraction.
Yes, I do need to get out more, but I’m stuck at home a lot. So to keep from going insane I come here.

GuestWhat an awesome idea. Always thought Danny’s music would be perfect for a Disney ride. But, an entire theme park, that’s excellent!

Guestyeah, that sounds pretty cool! has anyone grown tired of the crappy music played during many of the theme park rides, like carnival-ish and stupid? what if sir elfman scored a ton of rides, that would add a lot of spice!

GuestI heard somewhere that Shirley Walker scored some rides for a Disney theme park in Japan.

GuestI wish I could meet the man…He is such a genius. I practically idolize Danny Elfman. And what could be better than a themepark inspired by him, other than meeting him? NOTHING. There are no other film musicians that influence me to experience the emotions that the combinations of film and score that Danny Eldman contributes to. Pure musical Genius. What a great musician…none like him.Robert Ritchie wrote:
