GuestHey does anyone here know if our man Danny Elfman will be returning to score the Spider-Man sequel? I wont relax untill I know for sure that he has signed on. He MUST!!!! score the sequel. Someone please put my concerns to rest.
I cant even fathom another composer coming in an destroying all Elfman has worked for. I cringe at the thought of the composer throwing out Elfman’s Main themes for the first film and writing new ones, tottaly disreguarding musical consistency between the original and the sequel( one of my pet peves)
God forbid If Raimi decides to with another composer. That composer better keep Elfman’s thematic material, Like what Don Davis did with John William’s Jurrasic Park themes for Jurrasic Park 3.
ELFMAN MUST SCORE SPIDER-MAN 2!!!!!!

Guestok, before you go and hang yourself Ronald, go to IMDB.com first and search for “The Amazing Spider-Man” set for release in 2004, Sam Raimi is directing it, and YES Danny Elfman is the confirmed composer for this film. The sequel formula with Elfman will probably be very similar to that of Batman Returns, and Men in Black 2, where he uses the same themes established in the first film while introducing new ones in the sequel (however not much can be said for Men in Black 2 which really didn’t have any new themes to add to the table). But rest assured Ronald, Spider-Man will definitely be swinging to Danny Elfman music once again

GuestYea but the IMDB is not a reliable source for Composer news. I just hope it’s true what you said
