GuestI don’t know how to put recordings on the net. Hopefully somebody else will catch it who does. I do plan to tape it though, so I might eventually be able to at some point. Sorry.

GuestThis is a pretty long interview. I’ve listened to it on and off, Danny talks for about 5 to 10 minutes and then they play selections from the score they were talking about. The interview started by saying that they will be playing elfman scores all night long. They are now into their 3rd hour. The radio station KUSC 91.5 is on my cable system so I’m recording to a video cassette which gives me 6 hours of uninterupted interview time. Also this radio station doesn’t have any commercials. Tomorrow I find out how long this lasted.

GuestAs someone who has had the pleasure of seeing Danny Elfman many years ago doing Musical Theater with The Mystic Knights and as front man for Oingo Boingo. And now working for Sony Pictures Entertainment at the Studio where he has done many of his scores including his latest ” Big Fish ” and now preparing for ” Spiderman ll ” – I stumbled onto tonights broadcast on KUSC and found the interview very informative and the music selection some of the finest 5 hours of radio I’ve ever experenced.
Danny Elfman … Genius !

GuestQuestion (more like a favor): as someone who lives far away from KUSC’s broadcasting radius, yet would love to hear the interview, is there any chance someone could send me a copy? I’m more than willing to pay for shipping and handling, materials, labor, etc. Anyone who’s willing to do so can email me.
-E (that unwittingly sounded like a personals ad…revision is out of the question)

Guest…as an added bonus for whomever might want to send me a copy of the interview, I’ll send you a personalized, autographed Bucky Bear Badge for being extra-specially nice

-E (any takers? Yeah, didn’t think the Bucky Bear Badge was a great marketing scheme, m’self)

GuestThat could possibly be arranged, although 9fingeredElf’s recording would be better than mine- I used audio tape, and there are some breaks in the music from when I had to flip the tapes over. But I did catch all of the interview.

GuestI’d take the Everglades and alligators over cattle, drinking water contaminated by cattle waste and perfectly good camping sites being taken over by corporate cattle feedlots. Then again, it’s all subjective – hell, when I was abroad last year, I missed Nebraska in a way I never thought possible.
Steve/Elf – you’re first on my list for a Bucky Bear Badge. In other words, I am ever so grateful to you for your conversion of the interview
Thanks for appeasing those of us who are not in So. Cal – or, in my case, anywhere close to it.-E
