I NEED to know who knows a list of Elfman’s available sheetmusic. As a musician/keyboard player…his music is awsome, but when you can play it…WOW it’s kick ass. If your a musician you’ll certianly have heard in his music , he changes chords like every beat…minor to major. His chord progressions are unique to other composers I think… (g-minor to b-minor) Aflat-minor to C-major.
This is what I have …

    -Nightmare Before X-mas – book
    -Men in Black – Theme
    -Batman – Theme

Who can tell me what else I can get my hands on, or if anyone out there has transcribed there own stuff…

You’d be surprised at how many people come here to ask that. Unfortunately, nobody knows. . .

Actually, I might transcribe PART of his theme to Red Dragon (it’ll be the first time I ever do this sorta’ thing). If I do, I’ll post it here so everyone can see. :)

    Hey Jimmy,
I’m new to the discussion board, I’m just starting to get into Danny Elfman’s music, I’ve been listening to him for about a month or two now, and I’ve known who he is for years, who hasn’t heard the Simpsons theme you know? But I’m just now beginning to delve into his work, and I was wondering if you could tell me where you found the book for The Nighmare Before Christmas. I’ve been trying to figure out some of his work by ear, but there are just so many changes it’s unreal! Anyway, again I would greatly appreciate it.

I’ve got a good list of links compiled on my site. I plan on doing another extensive search soon. Hopefully this will tide you over…

Most were culled from either hal-leonard or sunhawk.com

Peace Love and all that Jazz. . .
