The Main BIG FISH Site’s Been Updated… and Guess what. The BIG FISH MAIN TITLES are playing in the background!!! It’s great. They sound kinda like a cross between Sommersby, Simple Plan & Good Will Hunting with a dash of Black Beauty.
The Site is great.

GuestI can’t remember if this had already been confirmed for sure, but it says on Danny’s bio on the Big Fish site that he will be scoring Burton’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

GuestThe mp3 quality is better on the site when streaming. Isn’t that weird?

GuestIt reminds me of Instinct/A Civil Action, it is said that the trailer too used a track from Instinct.

GuestWell, I’m gonna have to listen to a better version to fully experience it, of course, but this sounds too cool! It actually sounds a little like Thomas Newman in places.

GuestExactly what I was thinking, Mr. Dantz… It’s got that “American Heartland”-vibe to it…

GuestVery nice! I think this is a year of change for Danny Elfman…he’s really tried out a bunch of new styles in his scores, such as Hulk and this, which seems to be quite different from other scores he’s done. Right in the middle, I can hear a cue from The Hulk (“A Man Again”)…anyone else hear it?

GuestYeah, this is a pretty unique Elfman score, it sounds. But I can never help hearing slight echoes of Boingo in almost every one of his cues (With the exception of things like Edward Scissorhands, and Sleepy Hollow). Can you spot the slightly Boingo-esque bass in these Big Fish main titles?
>:o)

GuestIf you go the the script to screen area you’ll hear a pure Elfman cue. It sounds just like something from the early nineties. Listen closely. I heard glockenspiel and dry strings in there.

GuestJust listened to that part. Pure Elfman right there. I can not wait at all until this movie comes out. I might be in New York around Christmas, and number 1 on my to-do list while there is seeing Big Fish before it’s released everywhere.

GuestI just noticed that the music from the website and the music from the link way up in this topic are different…which one’s the main titles? I’m so excited for december 23 so I can hear everything!

GuestNow, why does this music remind me of Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn sitting on a raft on the Mississippi? OH (it’s the fiddle)..duh. Teh bass makes me think of frogs…Jesus, i gotta get out more…
