Hi.
I recently bought the soundtrack to a film called “La marche de l’empereur”, written, composed, produced, orchestrated by Emilie Simon.
It’s a french movie about Pinguins. The soundtrack contains songs in english, and some tracks of the score, with the beautiful voice of Emilie Simon. The harmonies, and the use of such instruments as the celesta or the Theremin gives it a very elfmanish vibe. It’s a mix of electronic, orchestral and vocal music. It’s dark, innocent and poetic at the same time. I’m sure all the elfman fans will love it.
Emilie Simon seems to very inspired by the world of Tim Burton. Her video clip for the song “flowers” looks just like NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS. If you don’t believe me, just take a look :

Let me know what you think. It’s amazing.

But you definitely all should listen to her soundtrack for “la marche de l’empereur” :listen to the track “ANTARCTIC”, it’s one of the best.
