I know. And though I’m not interested in a song album release. There hasn’t been any announcements regarding that either. I wonder what’s the up? Hopefully this won’t be another case of a digital only release.
There are samples from the album on Amazon, but you have to go on each individual track to hear them.
I like what I hear. It’s quite a bit Powell style, but one can still recognise Elfman own caracteristics. There are agreable theme that appears in those samples, too…Well all this is promising.
But if all the track are available on the amazon page, then the album is only 34 minutes long…This is quite short…It was also the case for “Promised land”, but there wasn’t so much music in the movie itself : but in a animated movie like this I think there is much more music. So I hope the album will be longer…Oh. I only checked for this info on the physical album page. How stupid can I be…

It’s the last score by Elfman for this year, I think ? There were a lot of rumors on different potential works, but none of them seems to get confirmed…Someone’s uploaded it to youtube if you can’t wait until the CD release.

One of the main themes sounds a lot like the Witches’ theme from Oz.
Wow! It DOES sound like John Powell, Harry Gregson-Williams, and all those Hans Zimmer cronies. I guess if you can’t beat them then join them.
