GuestHey, guys, I just stumbled across this book called Essential Film Themes 2. It has two pieces from Big Fish and one piece from Chicago. Here’s the link: http://www.musicroom.com/se/ID_No/068083/details.html
I have the first book and the quality of the arrangements are pretty good.

GuestHey, don’t leave it at that! Can you tie down either of the Fishies to a CD track roughly? And what would you say is the difficulty of the arrangement? Easy, middling, expert? Finally, how many pages? £15 is a bit steep for 3 pages of bits.

GuestThe level of difficulty is about intermediate and there are 128 pages in the book. I went in to a music store today and saw it. The Chicago arrangement looks pretty nifty. It’s not a bad book and it’s definitely worth it for all the other pieces, too. I also found this other book whilst in town called Film Themes of the Nineties (http://www.musicroom.com/se/ID_No/09394/details.html). Included in this book are Love Song from Mission: Impossible and The Nightmare Before Christmas Medley. You can view a sample of Patrick Doyle’s Steam Engine, which will give you a rough idea of what to expect.

GuestThanks. Added to my post-Christmas wish-list (what I spend the remainder of my wages on – if anything’s left..).

GuestOoh! “Big Fish” and “Chicago” score arrangements!
And the NmBC medley in the other book sounds very interesting, too.
Thank you!
