GuestI just watched “Evil Dead” – the first of the series – last night, and wondered who wrote the score? It was an interesting score, but I have to admit that I didn’t pay much attention to it, because the rest of the movie was so hilarious. (Wasn’t “Evil Dead” on some list of “Top 10 Horror Movies” or something like that? Good god, that was funny!) Alas, I digress: does anybody know who wrote the original “Evil Dead” score? (No, I couldn’t find it on the back of the case, or in the credits, so I did look…)

July 10, 2002 at 9:12 am #40795GuestJoseph LoDuca wrote the score to all the Evil Dead movies and Danny Elfman contributed the March Of The Dead Theme for the third installment and if you are more interested in LoDuca`s career you can go into IMDB.
By the way Erika LoDuca also wrote the music to Sam Raimi`s two television series: “Hercules” and “Xena”.

All of which are barely worth your time watching.

Whoops, typo on my part: i knew that LoDuca and Elfman wrote the music for “Army of Darkness.” I DIDN”T know that LoDuca wrote hte music for the original “Evil Dead…” otherwise, I wouldn’t have asked about it. Sorry!
