    1. Noah Baumbach’s next film has been in post-production for a few months now. He said during press for White Noise that he would definitely be working with Elfman again. Elfman’s worked with the producers before, too.

    2. Two episodes that Burton’s directed of Wednesday Season 2 are now in post. Burton’s shooting another two episodes until Christmas.

    3. Gus Van Sant starts filming Killing Gawker in January.

    4. Sam Raimi starts filming Send Help in January.

We know he’s scoring Dracula with Luc Besson, and he revealed at one of those comic con things that he’s booked up concert work for the next few years, so what of these, do we think, he’ll be asked to do? The allegations muddy the waters because I think he’d be set for all of them otherwise. Even if he were, it doesn’t seem logistically possible to do them all.

Which, if any, projects would you expect to see Elfman score?

I’m not too sure actually, we don’t really know how much of his current work assignments are conditioned by the allegations or by him not giving much attention to film/TV scoring anymore.

I suppose I wouldn’t mind him skipping Wednesday but there’s some prestige and money in there so I’m sure he will be involved in some way or other. Between Raimi & Van Sant, I’d go with the latter, he always delivered really great scores for Van Sant. Raimi’s scores can be hit & miss.

I can’t tell if Wednesday is the most or least likely project for him to be attached to. He won an Emmy and people probably expect him to be involved, but it’s also the most likely one to attract noise regarding the allegations. One of the season 1 actors was accused of stuff and got the boot. Bacon scoring all of Season 2 would also be a pretty seamless transition. I dunno.

Raimi is probably my favourite director, so I’d be most excited about Send Help.

I’ve seen no sign of the allegations affecting his schedule and work in any way (there was a concert cancellation awhile back, but that’s about it). So there’s no need to worry at this point.

    So… Dracula is done.

Wednesday Season 2 has finished filming.

Van Sant’s Dead Man Walking started filming a month ago.

Raimi’s Send Help started filming a few days ago.

Elfman worked on Wednesday Season 1 for two months, so I guess it’s possible he manages to fit all of them in.
