GuestOk, since there isn’t too much up here, how about everyone’s favorite film of all time? I have a feeling that most are going to be a Burton/Elfman film but for some weird reason mine isn’t…
Ok, ya’ll are going to hate me but it’s The Neverending Story
BUT…my second favorite is Batman, so it’s not all horrible. Oh, and just so you know, Moroder’s score for TNES isn’t my fav. score of all time…I acually can’t pick one, too many awesome scores.

Just kiddin’!My favorite movie of all time is “Return of the King”. But Spider-man is my 2nd favorite movie and Spider-man is my favorite score. That is, until Spidey 2 comes out (yay! Can’t wait!)

GuestHow in the world can someone dislike Kubrick? He was one of the greatest directors. The visual effects in “2001” are still breathtaking even today, and that movie came out at about the same time as Star Wars.
Favorite movies of all time … hmmmm … it changes with me. Right now, I’ll have to go with:
1.Magnolia (Every scene in that movie is absolutely perfect, and the score rocks)
2.Ed Wood
3.Rear WindowNext week, they may be replaced with others.
May 18, 2004 at 2:07 am #50147Anonymous
GuestActually it came out about 10 years before Star Wars (1968, but with the level of great Special Effects in it you wouldn’t know that from just looking at it).
My favorite Kubrick film would have to be Dr. Strangelove with Lolita in second place (gotta love Peter Sellers).

GuestI dig Donnie Darko–but it isn’t my favorite movie. If you’re going for favorite-favorite (which I think you are), I’d have to say BeetleJuice.
I don’t know. I just love every single thing about that movie. Everything. And Michael was just fantastic. Not to mention Danny’s saucy score. Or Tim’s snazzy version of the afterlife. Or. Well. Like I said, everything.

GuestDylan, I bet you’re proud to be an 18-year old who likes big boys movies.
May 20, 2004 at 1:42 pm #50183Anonymous
GuestI know a 15 year-old online who adores the same kind of films. That’s the youngest I’ve met so far that likes this kind of stuff. Don’t forget that a lot of older people hate this stuff. High school is a terrible life though if you love foreign films and orchestral music (especially film scores) but thankfully high school is coming to a close for me pretty soon. However, if you want to be a filmmaker, as I do, you probably won’t find better inspiration than foreign films. As far as being proud, no, though it is sort of unheard of.
Though I must admit to know some people in the film industry who also dislike 2001. That one is really either love or hate, I suppose. And “Big Fish” is on my top 5, and it seems that most people hate that film. Anyway, take care.

GuestBig Fish was friggan AWESOME! Who said that they hate it? I’ll KILL ‘EM!!!
