Hey,
I just got the Forbidden Zone DVD, loaded with special features. The one and only problem beeing that THE FEATURES DO NOT WORK !!!!!!!!
The menu does appear, but the features have simply not been recorded on the disc. I juste visited the PHANTOM films web site (they released the dvd), and there’s an alert, saying that 500 to 1000 copies of the dvd have this problem.
I hope none of you guys have the same problem with your copy. It’s really frustrating to have all those features on the menu, and not be able to access them!!!I will have to wait a long time to get another copy (since I leave in Switzerland)…
Anyway, another thing I noticed is that the opening song from the movie has been replaced. In the VHS version, the interpretation was not the same as in the cd soundtrack. In the dvd, they replaced it with the cd version…

Why ???I don’t recall there being alternate versions on VHS of the Main Title. What’s the difference? Mine is the same.
Darn, I had the same problem that boingomusic had. The features were not recorded onto my copy either, so today I sent it back and hopefully I’ll get a replacement copy that does include the extra features.
I did watch the film though, and I loved it.
And the main titles on the DVD are different than the CD version. Maybe the difference between sound quality on the VHS and DVD threw you off?

Yes, there were a small number of defective DVD discs with the defect as described. Please return the disc only (not the case) to the distributor FANTOMA FILMS for a free replacement. Check their website for details http://www.fantoma.com
