Monsterhead
ParticipantLooks like Burton’s latest remake has a release date:

ParticipantNot sure why the link is not showing up. Fangoria reports that March 9th, 2012 is the release date for the 3D animated film. John August is writing the screenplay.

InactiveIMDb says Elman’s “rumored” to be scoring this, but IMDb’s not always accurate. Anyone know if this has been confirmed?
September 13, 2010 at 8:45 pm #66016bookbinder3
ParticipantNot confirmed yet, but this has to be a sure thing right? We’re forgetting that except for two films, one because of what had been confrimed by both Danny and Tim as the end of their partnership, and the second because the film was based on a classic musical in which there was no need for Danny. We tend to be a bit tentative over Elfman scoring Burton films, don’t we? I’m not sure why. Ed and Sweeney seem to have shaken our faith. If Burton is directing or co-directing (as he did with Corpse Bride) then it’s a sure thing. I don’t think he’ll just be producting because a: Is he making anything else at the moment? I believe Dark Shadows etc. are all in pre-production. And b: several people talking about it said that it was very much Tim’s project, might this be the first strictly Burton-directed stop-motion film ever? And at the end of the day, who could score a film about a frankenstein-dog better than Mr Danny Elfman? I’d love to hear something reminiscent of Beetlejuice.

InactiveOf course I’d be shocked as hell if Elfman didn’t score a Burton film, but I tend to be a little superstitious…if I presumed it to be a fact without confirmation, I might curse it, right? And since the internet has no wood to knock on, it’s just safer to ask with hopeful innocence and pretend to be surprised when it turns out to be true.
Chatter on another site says Elfman and Burton were seen working at AIR Studios in London yesterday. No photos, so no proof…but interesting gossip nonetheless.

Participanta: It was a rhetorical question
b: I think a stop motion version (more cartooney) will require something bolder, harkening back to old sci-fi/ hammer horror scores
c: don’t be so contrary
d: who’s fan-site is this anyway?September 15, 2010 at 12:38 am #66020elfboy91
