GuestApparently, Jerry Goldsmith has fallen ill… so ill, he can’t conduct at his 75th birthday concert I’m going to see on tuesday. Aww, crap. I hope it’s nothing serious!

GuestThere was a thread about this on the FSM board (about a week ago) that mentioned that he was still on for that concert eventhough another coductor had claimed that he was filling in. If I find that link I’ll post it here.

GuestSorry, but when I checked the FSM site today a new thread had already started about this new cancellation. I wish I COULD have gone. I really hope it is nothing serious. (I think Dirk Brosse is the name of the replacement conductor)
Try to have fun at concert J

GuestDIRK BROSSE – confirmed on the Barbican’s website. There still seem to be seats available for the concert. I’m unsure if I’ll be there, so I booked a dirt cheap one (restricted viewing). With such good orchestras it’s a shame London has such crummy concert halls. :o)

GuestI also read that because of the Goldsmith cancellation they were offering refunds.
