    :-D It was cute. I’m not, however, surprised that Rings beat out Fish. Rings is a crowd-pleasing adventure with a huge following of groupies (of which I am one — though not so desperate of one that I waited hours in line in a Legolas costume for a first-showing ticket or anything like that) — while Big Fish is a tiny little book, and Tim Burton does not go for the crowd-pleaser-type movies (Batman excepted, probably); he makes what he wants to make, pretty much, no matter how offbeat.

    Who really cares which one made more money anyway? I find these articles in the movie sites about how studio executives are biting their fingernails because Movie X only made 150 million when they were hoping for 175 million, and I have to think — It would be nice to make even HALF a million! It would be nice to make a movie at all!!

    The poor executives. Aw…
