GuestBest wishes on the happiest of legal, hippie fiestas. (I use the word “hippie” with the utmost respect. As a sandaled, vegetarian devotee of Daniel Quinn’s books, I often get labeled as such – take it how you will). I myself have partaken of much organic jubilation today, and wish you the same

GuestHappy Earth Day indeed. I didn’t eat any granola or plant any trees today, but I took the bus everywhere and asked for paper instead of plastic. Okay, I do that all the time anyway, but it’s the thought that counts.
As a sometimes-sandaled, sometimes long-haired and usually bearded devotee of the outdoors, I am also frequently labeled a hippie. I can handle that; it’s wookies I can’t stand.

GuestEh, at least wookies are biodegratable. I work on saving the world during fall and winter. Right now, me and the sun are not having the best of relationships. (Was outside for five minutes the other day and my flesh started to bake). For what it’s worth, though, I’ve nothing against trees–they’re fantastic.

GuestI celebrated Earth Day globally. It’s the least we could do.
By the way, it’s spelled “Wookiee”; I know, I’m a Star wars fan too.

GuestI work in a toxic waste cleansing facility. We dump hundreds of barrels of so-called purified waste into the ocean daily. But, as per orders of the higher-ups, many barrels of uncleanable waste, such as biomedical waste and radioactive/carcinogenic waste that is could possibly contaminate our sanitation chambers, get’s dumped daily as well.
No worries though. We celebrated Earth Day by not dumping the unpurified waste today. Those barrels are out in the parking lot and will be dumped with tomorrow’s loads.
