I’ve visited the Spider-Man boards over at Sony and there are a few people that said [and still say] the music from the trailer [that “Lacrimosa” thing] should’ve been Spider-Man’s theme.
Now I’m really hoping they use that for the S-M 3 trailer to hear that same people say that Elfman’s music sucks and that that should be the kind of music for the film.
Okay, someone help me quickly. What trailer is that most recently from? I know I just heard it very recently. I love how it suddenly just BECOMES Spider-Man, with the percussion, quick violin, brass, and chorus. Ha.

That’s gotta be one of the lames rip-offs I’ve ever heared. Seems they shifted some notes so that instead of a memorable tune it plays musical nonsense.
It’s funny though.Immediate Music is a company that takes popular scores, themes, music, etc. and slightly changes orchestrations, arrangements, or notes for use on trailers and tv spots for production company that don’t want to pay or can’t afford to pay for the real songs.
VAN HELSING! That’s the trailer this song is from. It was killing me until I made this discovery. I feel better now.
Does anyone have any other Immediate Music tracks? I like “Lucius Dei” from the Island trailer and “Mercutio” from the other part of the Van Helsing trailer. Maybe they’re copycats, but they have interesting tunes!
