GuestHey, does anyone have hotmail on here?
Also does anybody like Buffy? – Just continuing the chain of boring posts. (Just wondered)November 21, 2002 at 4:00 pm #43028Anonymous
Guest“does anyone have hotmail on here?” Yep; check the address listed. I like the Buffy comic book
Just found out about it…-E (but seriously, what does this have to do with Elfman? Ah well, not like it’s anything I’ve never done…)

GuestActually, I can’t get into my Hotmail account for some odd reason.
Buffy sucks.

GuestNoooooo! I’ve got a friend who is a Buffy fanatic, and now it has turned full circle: that which I dislike and run from, has now entered every aspect of my life….
(I thought here–of all places–I’d be safe).
Seriously though, I just feel that Buffy kills “real” vampires. I don’t like when people tamper with legends too much–and I’m a big fan of Dracula. So that’d be a negative for Buffy.
Lena will be happy to discover that my world is in a turmoil now….

GuestI’m all about the blatant stupidity. I mean, really, what gets stupider than a girl named Buffy, nonetheless, chasing down vampires? Stupidity is often funny, when it’s not completely annoying. Truthfully, I can’t explain why I like it; I just do.
-E (who is annoying herself and needs to shut up)

GuestI like Buffy too… for reasons I can’t fully explain, and don’t even want to comprehend… I guess the whole thing just has a kinda Sam Raimi, severed tongue in zombie cheek feel that I appreciate.
As for Evil_Dead… I’m sorry, but… “REAL” vampires??? Come on, man… when were vampires ever worth taking seriously? I love Dracula (Bram Stoker is God), but the whole post-Stoker mythos that’s developed around them has just gotten ridiculous… too much Goth Talk. As far as I’m concerned, it’s about time productions like Buffy and Blade really pointed out just how silly the whole concept is.

More power to ’em.
Peace Love and all that Jazz. . .

GuestI don’t take vampires seriously, I just like the idea of dead people walking around, and I’d much rather have the vampires killing teenagers–not the other way around!
(When I say “real” vampires, I am not refering to losers who run around and claim to be vampires–they crack me up, and I’d like to stake ’em myself! Instead, I’m talking about the whole myth behind the legend, henceforth the quotation marks).
I like what Anne Rice did with Interview with the Vampire, and I don’t mind Blade at all (even if they tampered with the original legend, it was interesting enough for me to let ’em to get away with).
But when you have a demented little friend running around talking Buffy this and Buffy that every second of every day (which sad to say, isn’t much of an exaggeration), it gets real old real quick. (I mean, I don’t talk about Danny with and/or to her, because I know she doesn’t like him–just wished she’d return the favor)!
I don’t care if other people like Buffy–I just know that I don’t. Besides, I have too many other cheesy things in which I like, so I’d just rather stick to the core fundamentals of vampires when possible–which again, would be that a teenager wouldn’t have so much of a chance against one.

GuestBoth! I’d had hotmail forever, and Buffy is the only i’m into nearly (but not quite) as much as Danny Elfman and everything that he entails.
