I was watching my copy of Farewell and noticed just how short Danny seems compared to Steve. Like a foot shorter. So does anyone know how tall he is really, I know Steve is tall, but…

someone answered that a while ago, you might have to go back a page to find it… If memory serves me, a woman wrote in saying that she was 5’9″ and he was shorter than her. But you might wanna go back and read the post.

Danny’s sister-in-law told me he was about her height and she is 5’10” tall.

I’ve heard a lot of people claim he is shorter than they are and that they are somewhere in the range of 5’5″ and 5’9″ tall.
I think it is important to keep in mind how much shorter John Avila is than Danny. Relatively speaking, if Steve and Sluggo are a foot taller than Danny, and we can assume that they aren’t 6’10” tall, then we’d have to put Danny at somewhat shorter than 5’10”. Let’s give Sluggo and Steve reasonable, but tall heights then. Let’s Make them both 6’4″ tall. Putting Danny a foot shorter, he’d be my height, 5’4″ (Even though his sister-in-law told me he’s taller than me). Do you think John Avila looks to be less than 5 feet tall? I don’t. And he would have to be considering how much taller Danny is than him.
Keep in mind also that everyone in Farewell was wearing shoes, except Danny. Granted, the men weren’t wearing heels (except maybe Vatos when he had the dress on), but that would make them a wee bit taller than they would be in bare feet.
At any rate, I’m sticking with what Rachael said about his height because unlike people who met Danny once for 30 seconds and he seemed shorter than they were to them, she has likely seen herself next to him in photographs, glanced their figures in mirrors and who knows, maybe even stood back to back with the guy to get an accurate estimate. She may have even asked him straight out, “How tall are you Danny?”
My money is on him being 5’10”
if ur final estimate is correct then the Elf and I are the same height, and I couldnt be happier, to be physically similar or similar at all to your idol is a real treat, now if only I could get him to stand back to back w/ me….

He looks to be only a smidge taller than her (and maybe she even wears heels).

So… Since this is what everyone is speaking about… where did you find this out? From pictures of the yahoo group? From his brother’s “news” link? Just curious? As the FAN of all fans, like all of us… if he uses Colgate or Creste, who CARES!
Unless his personal life affects his writing style (god lets hope the woman won’t change him) he is still Danny Elfman. That is what he is.
What’s next on the scoring list… that is WHAT I want to know.
If you want to know about his projects and not his height, don’t open the threads with subject lines like “How tall?”
And personal life ALWAYS plays a part in anyone’s style. It just won’t necessarily make an immediately noticable change.
