I make music on my computer. Simple enough. I have a program where notes and rythm are just a point-and-click, and WHAMMO! Instant MIDI.
Anyways, Yesterday my ma and pa had some friends from church over, and asked me to play some of my best pieces. So… I did. But with a different synthesizer from the one I work with. Each bad note, a brand new grey hair (which is common for me, being 14.) However, this guy was impressed. His first words after I’d finished:
“Oh, that’s very much like Danny Elfman.”
I feel so honored. I’m a thousand lightyears from Danny, but that was a tooooooooootal compliment. I feel so important now… I’m gonna go bask in my own gloating until I’m back to my depressed self.
Do you have a webpage online where we can listen to your music? I think we’d all be interested.
