GuestBut this is WAY off topic.
I’ve been telling everybody this, and I for some reason am making myself tell you guys.
I saw Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind today, and it was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. I will say no more other than you guys owe it to yourself to see this masterpiece.
By the way– Ryan, I saw Dawn of the Dead….. great movie!

GuestYeah, I’ll have to go see that. I didn’t know it was in theatres yet.
By the way, the Main Titles theme is amazing, I think.

GuestAnd yes, I agree that Michel Gondry is god.

GuestI have no interest in Eternal Sunshine, but I saw Dawn of the Dead! Super cool movie! The scariest part for me was when the movie theater employees tried to kick me and my friends out. I missed importand plot points!!!

GuestGondrey is god… there is an exhibition of his work at the Queensland Art Gallery at the moment, for people in australia.
Can’t wait to see eternal sunshine… we’ve got another couple of months till it’s released here though

GuestThere is only one God and it ain’t Gondry! No God would spite his believers with shite like HUMAN NATURE!
And yes, DAWN is great. Esp. those end credits…

GuestI just got back from “Eternal Sunshine”, and damn, what a great movie. I haven’t seen “Human Nature”, and I don’t want to, since I haven’t heard a single positive thing about it. But “Sunshine”, man, wow… Jim Carrey actually ACTED, and more than that, he was good at it. Kirsten Dunst was awesome, believable, and danced around in her underwear. Kate Winslet nailed Clementine perfectly, and did a flawless American accent to boot. Charlie Kaufman is hit and miss with me, but this definitely swings him a bit more towards the hit side.
Sleepy’s right, y’all – go see this movie. And take someone of the opposite sex.

GuestOk, Ryan….you’re right. Human Nature wasn’t exactly, ya know…..good. And the end credits for Dawn of the Dead were great, lol.
But Spider-Fan, from previous postings I’ve gotten a pretty good idea of your taste in movies, and it doesn’t surprise me that you don’t want to see Eternal Sunshine. Just remember, once you realize that you made a mistake by not seeing it while it was in theaters, you only have yourself to blame, my friend….

GuestThe movie was excellent … the score, or more specifically the main titles, sounded positively Herrmannesque — with the bass clarinet and harp.

Guest“Eternal Sunshine…” is a good date movie, eh Burt? Lol. The last good date movie I saw was “Bubba Ho-Tep.” Shows you my taste in date movies…or dates, for that matter.

GuestDammit, I still haven’t seen “Bubbo Ho-Tep”. It looks like the kind of thing I usually go nuts for, a weird-ass horror-comedy starring Bruce “my hero” Campell, but I couldn’t make it to any of the screenings around here.
And yeah, take a date to see “Eternal Sunshine”. I swear, you’ll want to impregnate him with your children afterwards.

!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

GuestAnd with that….uh, yes.
Didn’t see Eternal Sunshine, but went to scope out Dawn of the Dead. It was good–but I didn’t think it was great. I mean, don’t get me wrong, I did enjoy it; the gore-factor was fantastic! But, call me crazy–when I see a horror movie, I want to be scared. (Granted, that doesn’t happen often, but one can hope)….

GuestI think Burt was just trying to cover all bases.

GuestBurt – you’ve gotta see “Bubba Ho-Tep.” I was practically on the floor in convulsions (a good thing), whereas the guy who accompanied me was Mr. Nonemotive 2004. That’s a sure sign it just won’t work out. Your suggestions on “Eternal Sunshine…” are noted. I’ll be seeing it as soon as it gets within driving distance of my podunk cattletown. Impregnation after movies, huh? Catchy…

GuestThe new “Dawn of the Dead” stars Sarah Polley?! Man, where was I when that news crash-landed? Well, now I’m obligated to see it! Besides, it’s the one new release at the theater…and I should really kick the “El Mariachi” obsession.
