GuestI really love the trailer music. The song “Lacrimosa” that appear in the Spiderman 2 trailer was great. I know I can’t purchase music like that, unless i’m a person involved with Trailer Advertisment or Movie Trailer Marketing. Does anyone know where I could listen to the whole song.

GuestWhen I watch dvd movies, I watch the trailers for that film first then I watch the movie. It gets me motivated and ampted to see the actual movie. Or if there’s other trailers on the dvd, i watch those first then the trailers for the movie. Like last, rented Hellboy the 2-disc special edition dvd. It had multiple special features like crazy. Alot of trailers for upcoming movies like “Anacondas: The Hunt For The Blood Orchid”, “The Forgotten”, “White Chicks”, etc. One of them was the “Spider-Man 2” trailer, not teaser. The teaser has a scene from the movie and highlights from the film, that includes Danny’s “Farewell” track from the first score.
The Spiderman 2 trailer was enhanced for 5.1 dolby digital sound. There’s more base in the dialogue, but alot more base in music and sound effects. Your could actually hear the choir say “Lacrimosa” at the end of the trailer when Harry pulls off Spiderman’s mask. It’s very moving. HOTT!!!

GuestSo…yea, it would be great if I knew where to find that particular ‘Lacrimosa.’ I can tell you that its not from Mozart’s Requiem, or Verdi’s Requiem for sure. I don’t think that it is from Brahm’s [requiem] either…but I’m not 100% sure. I can tell you that it was probably written in the 19th or 20th century…most likely around 1850 – 1890. So far as Orchestration, 60 string players, 35 woodwinds, brass, and percussion, with a choir that has numbers upwards of 80 or 90 voices.
Its obviously a Latin Requiem, but its probably by a German composer…maybe French or Italian…Its also a little weird for a Lacrimosa, seeing as how it is driven by an almost marching percussion, and uses plenty of low brass and a very robust choir. So, if you have a record store that sells plenty of Opera and Requiem Masses, with an adroit staff, I would tell them everything I just told you, and if you find it…please, let me know…
