I just got back from seeing “Iron Man” (cool movie) and I couldn’t help but notice that the Spider-Man theme makes a guest appearance in the film. Like, really, there are many moments with this recurring motif aside from the uninteresting heavy-metal theme for Iron Man. I was astounded. For anyone else who’s seen the movie, did you happen to catch it?
The score was quite the failure in my opinion, as it added nothing to the movie and seemed a bit inappropriate. Granted, the idea of heavy metal guitar riffs for such a character would sound cool in theory, but it’s actually not so cool after all.
I didn’t hear any Spider-Man music. As for Iron Man’s theme, it was alright. They should have just gone with the Black Sabbath song.
I totally heard it, and was quite shocked. I know a lot of people complained that they couldn’t find the theme in Elfman’s Spiderman…but I guess Ramin Djawadi found it.
I find the score to be a large shrug in my book. I think the guitar riffs are appropriate, but they are too repetitive and really don’t go anywhere. It’s all rhythm and no melody. Of course I wish Elfman scored it, but hell, I was actually kinda looking forward to Debney doing it, since he’s worked with Johnny Favs before. Either way, I thought the movie kicked all sorts of ass and i can’t wait to see it again!

Yea, I can kinda hear it. Well, Marvel did insist on Elfman for Hulk so maybe his sound is the one they want for their movies. Lets see how the Incredible Hulk soundtrack turns out.
Eh…. it’s Spider-Man-esque… but not really. If anything it sounds a lot more like a Trevor Rabin score… or something from Day After Tomorrow.
