I listen to a lot of film scores… Forrest Gump and Contact… I love that score. I’m also a huge fan of Danny Elfman. He and I have a similar background, but he’s a genius. He’s a tremendously talented musician, and has a wonderful ear and a really sharp mind to be able to come up with these flurries he does, these wonderful orchestral flurries.

Actually, I didn’t know anything about John Williams’ kids, let alone that this one is a composer himself. He seems really cool about it too, just making the fact that he’s the son of one of the greatest film composers ever kinda subtle. Still, pretty cool that he’s so enthusiastic about Danny’s music. Judging by his filmography, he hasn’t quite reached the level that his father has, but then again I’ve never heard any of his music. Perhaps I have some investigatin’ to do.
