Barnes & Nobles have posted 30sec samples for each and every track of the album. I know the cd comes out tomorrow, but since some people live outside the US, this could be intresting while we wait for the cd to get to us

I think it might be a very nice surprise for all of usSeptember 25, 2007 at 5:43 am #59620TenderLumplingParticipantThe album comes out tomorrow and Amazon hasn’t even sent it to me yet. Wee…

September 25, 2007 at 7:53 pm #59624gabaParticipantpssst… the album’s on http://www.emusic.com/ . I will say no more.
And it sounds much better than I expected. Very electronic, but in a good way.September 26, 2007 at 12:54 am #596279fingeredElfParticipantI ordered mine through MovieMusic.com and got mine today. After a first listen it is my least favorite Danny score. I’ll give a few more listens, it might grow on me.
September 26, 2007 at 2:27 am #59628Ryan KeaveneyKeymasterMan, I love “Finale”. It’s like Danny Elfman doing EXPLOSIONS IN THE SKY, one of my favorite bands (post-rock instrumental style). Not surprisingly, EITS scored Peter Berg’s FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS. I haven’t had a chance to listen to much else (the premiere of BOSTON LEGAL is on tonight, folks!) but I have a feeling this is going to be at the very least a unique entry in Elfman’s filmography.

September 26, 2007 at 7:19 am #59631Spider-FanParticipantI haven’t heard the score outside of the film, but I just wasn’t really into the guitar tunes played during the lighter moments and in the finale. The one cue that I liked both in the film and alone, which plays on the website, is “The Chase.” It really has a frantic feel to it that matches the intense and uneasy tone of the scene and the whole movie, plus I think it employs the most use of the orchestra. Otherwise, it’s just sound design to me.

September 27, 2007 at 7:25 pm #59639TenderLumplingParticipantCool.
You know, even though this is not the most pleasing Main Title that Elfman has come up with, nonetheless, it is perfectly scored.
