GuestYeah… what is Mazer World? A number of sites list it as a film that Elfman scored (of course, most of them still also list him as scoring T3), but I have never heard of it before today. Has anyone seen it?

GuestI guess no one else knows what Mazer World is either… oh well.

GuestThis is what it says on the IMDB:
“Edward walks casually down an abandon downtown street when he discovers a woman lieing dead on the side walk. When he runs to check the body, he notices a little girl in the alleyway watching. As he chases the little girl through alleyways and backstreets he begins to have violent flashbaks of men in long black coats chasing him, a beautiful woman he met in a bar, and a strange and unusual metal box. Nothing seems to make since until his flashbacks are piecded back together to fit a nightmare of fairytale and reality. Edward must figure out where he is, who is the little girl, whoe are these men who move in mysterious ways and move in and out of the shadows, and WHAT IS IN THE BOX!!!”
I am very interested in seeing it. Does anyone know where I can find it?

GuestIf the sources of this info are the same sites that listed Danny as scoring T3, then somehow I don’t think that he really scored this (whatever it is).

GuestI actually just found something about Mazer World at:
http://www.raindance.co.uk/festival/films/shorts/program15.html
It’s apparently being shown at the 11th Raindance Film Festival in London, which lasts from October 24 to November 7, 2003. This, of course, gives absolutely no hint as to whether or not Elfman scored it, but at least it’s something.
So…… anyone going to be in London this fall?

GuestWas that the documentary film that Elfman was “supposedly” attached to a few years ago? I can’t keep up with all the “alleged” scoring projects; I just dabble in the factual scores.

GuestWhy is everyone always bashing the IMDB. Sure it gets some wrong information some times, but for the most part it’s correct.
Seeing as “Mazer World” was finished in 2001, I think it is safe to assume that Elfman did score it. It’s not a project that is in development when it is very easy to get confused about the facts.
Elfman is no longer listed as the composer of T3 or Condo Painting. I believe they have realized their mistake and corrected it.

Seeing as nobody here really knows anything about this, I think it is safe to assume that Elfman did NOT score it.
Seriously, do you think that he could score something and none of his fans would have heard a damn thing about it for two years? Not bloody likely. I’m sure that the IMDB is wrong (again).
