GuestI have no internet link, but i just heard that M.Michael Kamen died today. I’m very sad, the man was gifted and offered us great moments of film music.
He was only 55.R.I.P.

GuestJust read it on the FSM message board, and I’m shocked and saddened today.
He was not only a good composer, but a great man. Having known him through a few email discussions, he was always encouraging and unbelievably down to earth – this is one of the first non friend or family deaths that somehow seems personal.

GuestThat stinks – he was a great composer. I saw him on TV occasionally, and he came across as a very warm, friendly guy, too.
I’ll have to crank up Pink Floyd’s The Wall when I get home. I think it’s the only thing he worked on that I own.
Rest in peace, Mr. Kamen.

GuestI’m still in Shock… I love his music. I also live a matter of miles from his home, and never met him
Well, at least I could listen to and enjoy his great work. Kamen R.I.P.The J.

GuestMy favorite Kamen score will always be “The Adventures of Baron Munchausen.” The opening fanfare is probably the most rousing 30 seconds of filmscore music I’ve ever heard.
