I know I put this on the last one, but I don’t know if anyone would read it.

“I have a Korg N1 that I just use with Cakewalk Home Studio 9 and my e-machine etower | 500ix and it works pretty good. I use Finale to write and that’s easy to find in p2p sharing networks. I don’t understand midi that much, just the basics, but I want to be a film scorer also and would like to know more if anyone wants to put on here a thing or two about MIDI. You can e-mail me if u want 2 also I am open to any comments and tips on my hardware etc”

Well, there’s certainly more to composing filmmusic than just understanding MIDI…

    Try the following forums:

well…midi’s a good way to start! just be sure to keeps your drums to channel 10!!!i always forgot that:) ohh…and if you have an n1 it mite be a good idea to hook up using a line in lead. plug it into your line in at the back of your pc, and record using audio tracks.this way you can use the korgs realistic waveforms to get a more realistic sound. im not to sure about cakewalk 9 as to how to do record in audio, im a cubase man.but im sure it’s just as basic. and finale can only do midi…i use sibelius tho..it’s much better!

hope that helps a little bit!
