I don’t know about you guys but I’m really feeling that there should be a CD release of both Elfman’s SCROOGED and Elfman’s SUMMER SCHOOL. If both scores are combined onto a single album like with the “Back To School / Peewee’s Big Adventure” CD then the 15-some-odd minute Scrooged and Summer School would be no problem to coax a company into putting together (hint, hint, Varese Sarabande). Maybe we could start a petition like with Spider-Man.

    What do you think?

I’ve heard Summer School, and while I find it entertaining, it’s not one of Elfman’s best.

Scrooged is one of my favorites and I want more than what is on Music for a Darkened Theatre Vol. 1. I would kill to get my hands on a complete Scrooged soundtrack (if I knew I would not get caught.)

If they were both on the same CD I would still buy it.

Doesn’t Film Score Monthly occasionally release unreleased scores on their own label if they got the rights to them?

Perhaps it’s an idea you could pitch to them.

Paramount owns the rights to SCROOGED and they are not interested in licensing out their older film music for soundtrack albums.

How about a 2 CD set of all the music from both

Um…. or maybe… 1 CD of one and a separate CD of the other? Unless you feel as though the striking similarities between sister movies Scrooged and Summer School warrant them paired as a 2 CD set…

2CD set or 300CD set, we’ll never see it. See my post above.

    Keep dreaming, folks.
