Guestdisney released a new trailer for haunted mansion, which is kinda like an elongation of the teaser. whoever has seen it, is that still batman returns music at the beginning?

GuestTrailer breaks down like this:
– Opens with Christopher Young’s great URBAN LEGEND
– Then segues to James Newton Howard’s ATLANTIS or WATERWORLD (as the door opens to reveal Murphy and family)
– Not sure what the music underneath the Terence Stamp introduction is
– After Murphy talks toilets, it’s Elfman’s NIGHTBREED!
– Finishes with Patrick Doyle’s FRANKENSTEINRyan

Guesti was worried after the teaser that the movie would suck, but it looks awesome! in the part where murphy drives through the wall and the car turns into a carriage, i can’t tell whether or not eddie murphy says the line, “some of us are already dead!” if it is, it would be great to see him finally changing his voice, something unseen since nutty professor 2. does anyone know if mark mancina, the composer for haunted mansion, is any good, or if this movie suits him? i’d love for this movie to have a really great score in case the movie turns out bad.

GuestThat sounded like the great Wallace Shawn, of Princess Bride fame, to me. He said the dead line exactly the way he said “inconceivable” seven million times in that movie.
Burt (“You keep on using that word – I don’t think it means what you think it does.”)

GuestI’m unsure of this. I mean, on one hand, I like ghost movies, but on the other, I like snazzy ghost movies (which is to say, the kind that scares the crap outta ya–and unfortunately, they’re rather difficult to come by). And, something tells me Disney isn’t an expert on spookin’ people.

Guesthey pirates of the caribbean was great, and even a bit spooky, purely because it was a terrific disney movie. who says they wont be on a roll, with the exception of freaky friday? it will really be good if its pg13.

GuestPirates of the Carribean was good–but I wouldn’t call it spooky in the slightest. (And some of the jokes got real old real quick–like the whole bit with the guy’s eye falling out. Yeah, one time, all right–but it was a running gag through the whole movie)
Then again, when I think Disney, I think animation and cute little kiddie movies….(Keep in mind, I’m not talking The Nightmare Before Christmas here! But, even if you want to go there, it wasn’t scary, either).

Guestcan someone post the link.. to view this trailer?

GuestNothing’s wrong with Disney making “kiddie movies” just said it isn’t the kind of movie I watch, is all. Henceforth, I have doubts of them making a spooky movie, you dig?

GuestTalking about Elfman scoring Kid movies:
Flubber is one hell of a score, too bad that movie itself couldn’t live up to it (or the original for that matter).

Guestby the way lonesome cowboy burt, you’re right about Wallace Shawn, good skills! that is him in the trailer, I did a lookup on IMDb. I didn’t recognize his name but i knew that he was Rex from Toy Story. when i had previously watched the trailer with a small monitor and a dial-up modem i couldn’t tell who it was, but i watched on a big moniter with cable connection and i realized, that is him. that’s really good to know…interesting to see him in Haunted Mansion!
