GuestThe ending credits of the latest HULK trailer mention ELFMAN as composer. I suppose that’s the best confirmation you could get.

Guesti find him quite convincing…i especially love the final extract where he yells like an animal….you can actually see the veins in his neck. Impressive !
And don’t forget that these are not the final cgi’s.

GuestWhen I put that Danny Elfman is scoring HULK on my site, that’s all the confirmation I need

As for the trailer, a huge improvement on the previous version. None of the music in there is Elfman’s (though they make good use of a choral section from Debney’s THE SCORPION KING).

GuestSpeaking of Elfman trailer music, there is about 5 seconds from PLANET OF THE APES (“Main Title”) in the PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN trailer (when we see Kiera Knightly and the Aztec gold coin, just before the pirate peaks through the crack in the door).

GuestRyan, I don’t understand. I’m at my wits end! You’re opening Hulk page says…
“Please note that this is still ‘unconfirmed'”
But now you say
“When I put that Danny Elfman is scoring HULK on my site, that’s all the confirmation I need”

GuestThat page was last updated over 1 month ago – the day the news broke

I’ve had my hands full with redesigning the Marc Shaiman site, completing sites on Elliot Goldenthal and Brian Tyler, writing reviews for Cinemusic, and designing two additional sites!
I’ll get to this site soon — sorry for the confusion, Amy.

GuestI hear that The Hulk is going to be more dramatic than expected, which would most-certainly dictate the music.
Dig this, taken from aintitcool:
“… the word that I’m hearing is that the film is absolutely terrific, but that executives are a bit worried because it feels more like an art film than the “typical” super-hero film. Having read the script, I can say with the utmost confidence that the trailers you’ve seen thus far are a bit deceptive (imagine that) – while they are full of cool HULK action beats… and there’s a great deal of that stuff in the film, this film is first and foremost a drama and to a certain extent a Tragedy on par with the classics. I know that sounds bizarre and weird given the trailers you’ve seen, but that’s certainly what the script was.”
Maybe fans will get their Sommersby after all.

Guestthe words “greek tragedy” have been said several times. With Lee in command, i hope it will be a dark dramatic movie, like darkman was.
