All I have to say is: ugh. With every passing day, I find myself missing the late ’80s-early ’90s Disney Renaissance movies more and more and wondering what ever happened to the brilliant writers of those days. At least the animation could have been better on this one, but it looks remarkably simple, and not in a stylized way. As with “Charlotte’s Web,” I’ll have to make a tough decision regarding whether it will be worth it to see this movie for the music alone, because although both movies look crappy to me, they both seem to have a ton of musical potential (I’ve enjoyed what I’ve heard from “Charlotte’s Web,” and I’d love to hear another wacky-and-bombastic score from Danny with “Robinsons”). Judge for yourself and feel free to yell at me if you disagree:
