Dawg Man
ParticipantElfman is coming to Comic Con and read this from the release…
10:30-11:30 Danny Elfman- From Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure to Alice in Wonderland, composer Danny Elfman discusses his 25-year collaboration with director Tim Burton. Their legendary partnership includes such films as Beetle Juice, Batman, Edward Scissorhands, Nightmare Before Christmas, and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Joining Mr. Elfman will be Warner Brothers Records executives to announce their plans to celebrate this quarter-century milestone. Room 6BCF
Record Executives? Celebrate? Hmm…
I hope someone asks him if he’s interested in returning to Pee-Wee too. But that’s just me.

ParticipantIt ain’t MFADT III
Yeah, we know, it’s a new Batman album. That’s why he’s at COMIC-Con. BTW, how many times has Elfman been to Comic-Con?

KeymasterIt ain’t about BATMAN (yes, that is coming too)

ParticipantMy guess is The Green Hornet?
July 9, 2010 at 8:21 pm #65580Descent Into Mystery
ParticipantThe Green Hornet makes sense too, but you’d think he would be on The Green Hornet panel and with someone from SONY. So, my guess is that, aside from Batman, it’s some sort of 25th anniversary album. They mentioned Tim Burton, so it’s probably the “Best of Burton-Elfman” album. Steven Spielberg and John Williams had an album like that a few years ago.

ParticipantMaybe a “Burton / Elfman Collaboration album”, you’re right… But if they do it, I really hope it will contain new versions, or concert versions specially written for the album (as John Williams would do)…
Or even better… What about a Batman Symphony ? Shore has done something like this with Lord Of The Rings. And since Elfman has made his first steps into Concert pieces with Serenada, that could be a possibility… It would be a dream come true….

ParticipantThere was already a Tim Burton compilation a couple of years ago (or was it last year), from Silva Screen, if memory serves.

5. Black Beauty Remastered and Re-ReleasedJuly 12, 2010 at 11:01 am #65592boingomusic
ParticipantWell, these are all amazing ideas… But for choices 3 to 5, If you think about it, there’s no link with Comicon, or with Sony…. Hmmmm…. I’m getting more and more curious !
July 12, 2010 at 1:59 pm #65593Ryan Keaveney
KeymasterNo link with Warner Bros. Records, that is. Or Tim Burton. This is Elfman, Burton and Warner Bros. Just think about it.

ParticipantSomeone find out if Paul Rubens is attending. *wink wink*
July 12, 2010 at 9:44 pm #65596Descent Into Mystery
ParticipantWe already know about Batman since you already mentioned it. So, really, that’s pretty much it unless they’re also gonna release a Elfman-Burton collection.
July 13, 2010 at 2:17 am #65597Monsterhead
ParticipantIs Elfman finally going to direct his own movie. Burton to produce?
July 13, 2010 at 3:40 am #65598Descent Into Mystery

July 13, 2010 at 8:51 pm #65594TenderLumpling

ParticipantThe rights could have expired.
July 14, 2010 at 6:55 am #65602TenderLumpling
ParticipantSure. But I don’t see how that makes it related to Warner Bros. It’s obviously going to be Beetlejuice Goes to Hawaii and the animatic’s that Elfman scored of Superman Lives!
