GuestOh well geez . . . I could have given you something like this a couple of years ago. Back when I had no life, I would spend a little time each day doing dorky little arrangements of Edward Scissorhands, Sleepy Hollow, Batman Returns, Nightmare Before Christmas . . . I guess I’m just not a bit excited over something that’s not “real”, is done just by ear, and is so reduced.

GuestYeah, me either. I want the actual orchestral score. Only THEN will I be very excited.

Guestand what would you personally do with the actual full score,
would you play every instrument at the same time by yourself
or would you sleep with it like you do with your fistMay 7, 2004 at 9:00 am #50013Anonymous
GuestHahahaha that was such a middle school insult.
you didn’t do anything wrong, I appreciate it, Gill. everybody on this board has a mission to seem witty and smart, so just don’t take it to heart.
Just don’t lower yourself by responding with masturbation jokes.

GuestI also want the full orchestral score of these movies, but the piano version isn’t a bad substitute (temporarily).

Guest‘and what would you personally do with the actual full score,

or would you sleep with it like you do with your fist.’maybe he might conduct it, or maybe use it to analyse the score and dannys orchestration and compositional techniques. but dont be stupid man…he’d hardly be able to play all the instruments at once. ohh… and im sure he doesnt sleep with his fist, though im sure u do! his piano arrangements are really really simple though..which is fine i suppose. it is free.

GuestYeah, I would love to just sit and read certain Elfman compositions . . . I would kill to get a hold of the Sleepy Hollow main titles for just 5 minutes. Good stuff . . .

GuestI would do some lite remodeling with it. You know, drape my windows, give my bed a second layer of warmth, use it to re-roof the house, things like that.

GuestI personally own around 15 orchestral scores. Great for arranging solo instrumental performances, analysation, what have you. Very, very useful things.
I’d wet my pants if I could buy some fully orchestrated Elfman scores for standard score prices.
