GuestDoes anyone have orchestral (not midi; unless it’s really good MIDI) versions of the songs from the Nightmare Before Christmas without the lyrics?
Don’t get me wrong; nightmare is my favorite movie and my favorite musical. I love singing along with the songs, but I just want complete instrumental versions of the songs without the lyrics. Not the excerpts in the overture or end credits; the orchestrations are different. Anyone have this?

GuestI have wanted orchestral versions of the Nightmare songs as long as I can remember. Like you, it’s one of my all-time favortie films, and I adore the songs…but as well as being wonderful songs, each composition would also work equally as well as an orchestral piece. I hope that someday the orchestral versions of the NMBC songs will surface on CD.

GuestCan someone tell me why I have http://www.broadwaymidi.com/movies/nightmare_before_christmas.htm bookmarked as a place for NMBC midi’s but the damned thing always diverts me to the homepage? I have no idea why I had this link so confidently placed… and why I never downloaded or purchased the midi in question. The site looks like all it does is direct people to sheetmusicplus and amazon under the pretext of containing lots of midis.

GuestI’ve tried using that same website for the same reason. I don’t know what to tell you.

GuestThey used to have lots and lots of midis, but I think for legal reasons they had to remove them… sorry. Here is a link to some adequate midis. Some are for orchestra, some are just piano.
