I think that unless one of his scores one day cures cancer, he will never get an Oscar. He’s not even nominated after 6 films’ year…

On a happier note, Burton got another nomination for Frankenweenie!

January 10, 2013 at 10:47 pm #67719lonzoeParticipantNo surprise!!! Though I’ve only heard 3 of the 6 2012 scores by Elfman an oscar nod or win wouldn’t change how much I enjoyed ’em. Just like he’s already proven that an oscar win won’t change how much I enjoy his music in general. He’s still an excellent composer without one.
