Well, here is what I am angry about with the new X-Men movie (from what I have seen in the trailer):

Rouge kisses Iceman, and she breaths ice, but in the comic her power was so great that she couldn’t touch anyone without almost killing them (as in her introductory story), so it doesn’t make sence. Another thing that didn’t fly with me is the fact that Rogue wasn’t romantically involved with Iceman, but with Gambit, who isn’t in the film, and there was only one story that they where able to have physical contact with eachother (I forget what it was called) because they both had lost thier mutant powers.

Shadowcat looks like she just has a tiny part in this film…AGAIN (yeah, I know, she wasn’t a big character but she was always my fav X-man).

Wasn’t there a fight between Cyclops and Iceman for Jean Grey? I could have sworn there was…

Other than that, I think X-2 should be much better than the first film (which was too low on plot for my tastes).

I hope Venom and Carnage will be in Spidey 2, because they would look awesome in a live action film (unless they get stupid CGI people to animate them like they did in Spawn), and they are both REALLY evil.

Ok, that’s good enough for now…

Knight (The X-men animated series was also really good, not really stupid like most of the Super hero cartoons that where out in my day. Hell, it even had dramatic episodes [like the Rogue/Gambit romance that I was talking about])

Yeah, they’ve botched Rogue’s character up pretty good in the movie world. Usually she can touch people without killing them–but it does do serious damage, like: absorbing their memories forever, temporarily taking on their personality, and even gaining other mutant powers indefinitely (which is why she’s able to fly in the comics and cartoon).

Gambit and Rogue were among the third string of X-men characters introduced in the comics, I believe, so they were both adults and not kids. Evidentally Gambit doesn’t exist in the Hollywood version–but neither does a lot of original characters.

I don’t remember Iceman and Cyclops ever getting into to, but Cyclops and Wolverine used to fight and/or argue all the time. I don’t read Uncanny X-men on a regular basis anymore (I don’t like what happened to the look of the comic after the movie came out, for starters), so Bobby and Scott could very well be at each other’s throats. (I do read Wolverine, though, because he is saucy)!

But I need to stop talking about comics, because this is a Danny Elfman site!

    AH! Don’t Evil!

SERIOUSLY >>> I’m SOOO freakin’ Upset with what they did with Rogue. She needs a DEEPER ACCENT (ana can barley hold the accent) and she needs to have more muscle. Even before she took hold of Ms. Marvel’s strength and Flying abilities she was very muscular. Ana looks like she will break in Half if you flick her arm. Yah, she talks about how she’s going to get a lot more attention when it comes to action scenes but COME ON >> how good do you think it’s going to be? I mean, don’t get me wrong I could be sorley mistaken. But not from what I’ve seen SO FAR. And Yah, I totally wish they had put Gambit in there bc he was the comic character who had lots of Sex Appeal w/ and w/o rogue.

I totally love the way they did Night Crawler.

Classic Cartoon Series: I’m telling you, the old cartoon series were soooo CONTRAVERSAL! Especially if you put it back into play on tv now >> yah right if they will >> Night Crawler was such a Firm Believer in God… and don’t get me wrong I am an OnFire4God person >hence my email address<... Its just, the way people are today, I was suprised they actually allowed it.
NOT ONLY THAT >> Night Crawler and Rogue were brother & sister and Mistyke was their mom. And her and Sabertooth had a kid together.

aaah!!! OVER ALL >> my main disappointment was Rogue. Heck! I could have done a whole lot better than Ana >> Considering I’m actually from the South! My only DownFall would be My height >> too short!

“And the Sandman books would translate well to film, I think, because they’re wrote very well, and are already set up with a definite beginning and a definite end. They’re the epitome of saucy comic book writing–I’d recommend ’em!”

There were several versions of a script floating around for the Sandman movie — a movie which Neil has sworn off, and wants absolutely nothing to do with it, and for good reason.

Sandman is in no way a superhero comic, but they had Dream cast that way. The script I read was a disaster, and I don’t think it will ever come to anything, thankfully.

The Death movie, on the other hand, is meant to be directed by Neil, with a script by Neil, and should be very interesting, although again, not a superhero movie.

Sam Kieth’s The Maxx was also a comic book, and the character shows up now and again in other titles. You can still (I think) get a video of all the Maxx episodes MTV aired. I got mine a handful of years ago, but I think it’s still available.
