GuestFirst of all, I can’t put into words how much I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE The Nightmare Before Christmas!!!! My 12 yr old, 3 yr old, and I sing along to the soundtrack in the car, and watch the movie AT LEAST once a week!!
1st Question – Since it is TNBC’s 10 YR anniversary this year, is there ANY talk on a re-release to theatres?!?!?!?!? Who can I contact to get the ball rolling on this?!?!?!
2nd Question – Since the movie is more of an ‘operetta’, have there been ANY talks of taking it to the stage?!?!?!? Who can I contact to get the ball rolling on this one also?!!?

Guestis anyone willing to start a mass emailing to Disney…I’d be willing if there was an eager and organized effort put forth… I am surprised how many of my students do know about the movie, but not as many as I’d like. Sadly, this is no movie I could get by with showing them during class, even if I made it into a lesson about all the art and design jobs you could have being involved in this field. I always wished I could show them the end part, the “making of,” because they do explain each job and it’s importance, and I think the kids would be fascinated. (They didn’t believe me when I told them there were over one hundred Jack heads made for all the sounds and syllables) I would feel completely justified, because there are parts in my curriculum and textbooks that have lessons on jobs in the art field. Besides, the vast media/entertainment field rules all our free time, and plenty of art (and music) jobs end up in there. But still, my ass would be in hella-trouble faster than you can say “Tender Lumplings” if I thought for a second I colud get away with showing it in class. So maybe if it comes back out in the theatres, more of my kids could go see it, because it is such a great example of art/music/film. sigh…

Guest…I thought you meant NBC’s former Saturday Morning lineup, once called TNBC.
As for “Nightmare Before Christmas”, a re-release to theaters is unlikely. More likely is a shoddy direct-to-video sequel, strung together with really lame songs written by somebody in the Mouse House entertainment factory.
Seen “Jungle Book 2”? How anout “Return To Neverland”? “Atlantis 2: Milo’s Return”?
For the preservation of the integrity of “The Nightmare Before Christmas”, I hope to God Disney forgets they had anything to do with it.
